picture1Dear Parents, Alumni, and Friends~

Welcome to our 96th school year!  It is with great excitement that I begin my second year as the Director of Development and my 12th year at NFA. Time truly flies when you’re having fun!  Last year was an incredible success in fundraising for our 2015-16 Annual Appeal, our PA tax credit dollars (EITC/OSTC), and our Razzmatazz An Evening in Paris event.  Thanks to record participation in all of these endeavors we are able to support significant projects at NFA that are not ordinarily covered by tuition. Your continued support and commitment to these causes are most appreciated!

During this school year you will receive important information from the Mission Advancement Office (MAO) about the many excellent, ongoing efforts that help sustain NFA as we move towards our Centennial celebration in 2020-2021.  I am pleased to have the opportunity to give you a brief overview of our Mission Advancement program and the role you can play in its success.

The core foundation of NFA’s Advancement effort is the Annual Appeal and the fundraising activities of the Parents’ Association.  These functions, relying heavily upon the generous support of our parents, alumni and friends, combined last year to raise over $300,000 for the school.  The Annual Appeal had a record year, surpassing its goal of $165K!  These funds supplement tuition income and make a variety of enhancements possible.  They are allocated in support of the academic, co-curricular, and spiritual development activities of the school, as well as staff development, financial assistance, and improvements to our historic campus buildings and grounds.

All Parents’ Association fundraising is coordinated by parent volunteers while responsibility for the Annual Appeal, special fundraising events, and grant writing efforts rests in the Mission Advancement Office (MAO).  Our success in all of these areas depends on your commitment of time, talent, and financial resources.  We welcome and appreciate your participation and assistance throughout the year as together we empower the mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph that all children have a right to a quality education.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me at 215-247-3811, x207 if I can be of service or answer any questions. Thank you for your time and support, always!

With gratitude,

Terri Hutsell
