How is it possible that we are already in our fourth week of the school year? While the sun continues to shine, we have officially entered autumn. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Opening Liturgy and outdoor activities to bless our playground and celebrate our commitment to the environment.
I hope that you will join us for the first installment of the NFA Speaker Series for an evening with Dr. Ken Ginsburg, nationally renowned researcher and presenter, on Wednesday, October 2, at 7:00 p.m., in the Fontbonne Commons. If you’re not familiar with Dr. Ginsburg, here are two websites that will give you some background.
Dr. Ginsburg will be speaking on “Building Resilience in Children and Teens.” I have had the privilege of hearing Dr. Ginsburg and found his wisdom and dynamic presentation to be phenomenal. Reflecting both through the lens of an educator and as a parent, I can assure you that you do not want to miss it.
The event is free and open to the public. I encourage you to share with friends, family and neighbors. Hosting this event is part of our commitment of partnership as a school community. We look forward to expanding this program by offering speaker events on a regular basis.
This opportunity is partially funded by the NFAPA and the 2018-2019 Annual Fund. Thank you for your generous support of these initiatives to outstanding student, parent, and community programming at NFA.
Blessings and Christ’s Peace,
Ryan Killeen, Ed.D.
