From the Development Office~

Dear Parents, Alumni, and Friends~

Welcome to our 97th academic year!  It is with great excitement that I begin my third year as the Director of Development and my 13th year at NFA. The energy and excitement of the past few years has truly propelled NFA forward.  With our centennial anniversary in sight, we continue to be a school defined by our excellence, always reaching for the MORE.

Last year’s success in fundraising for the 2016-17 Annual Appeal, our PA tax credit dollars (EITC/OSTC), and our Mad Hatter’s Ball Casino Night was extraordinary. Thanks to record participation in all of these endeavors we are able to support significant capital and mission-related projects at NFA that are not ordinarily covered by tuition. Your continued support and commitment to these causes truly makes a difference in our vibrant present and our promising future.

Your investment is the difference and I am pleased to have the opportunity to give you a brief overview of our Mission Advancement program and the role you continue to play in its success.

The core foundation of NFA’s advancement effort is our Annual Appeal.  The Appeal supplements tuition income and makes a variety of enhancements possible. These funds are allocated in support of the academic, co-curricular, and spiritual development activities of the school, as well as staff development, financial assistance, and improvements to our historic campus buildings and grounds.  Last year we were delighted with a record 77.4% parent participation in the Appeal along with 93.5% staff and 100% board support.  The Appeal raised over $189K thanks to the combined efforts of our parents, alumni and friends. This is a testament to the power of participation and the shared passion for a school we all know and love!

The new 2017-18 Annual Appeal begins on October 2 with our 50 Days of Giving campaign. This initial phase invites everyone to join us in our goal to raise $105K in 50 days and then aiming for $200K by June 30, 2018.  Your investment is the difference and funds the many excellent, ongoing efforts that help sustain NFA now and for years to come.  We welcome and appreciate your participation and support throughout the year as together we continue the mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph.

Please feel free to contact me at 215-247-3811, x207 if I can be of service or answer any questions. Thank you for your generosity of time, talent, and resources, always!

With gratitude,

Terri Hutsell
