Parents Association Overview

Norwood-Fontbonne Academy’s Parents Association (NFAPA) is an active and energetic organization for parents of NFA students.  This all-volunteer group sponsors dozens of events and activities to foster a cooperative and cohesive spirit among members of the Norwood-Fontbonne community.  Designed to bring NFA families together, these events and activities enhance the children’s experience at NFA, serve others and raise funds for the Academy.

Throughout the course of the school year, NFAPA sponsors social activities, community service, fundraising sales, Liturgies, sporting events, trips, parties, outreach, networking, and family-centered games and activities.  With over 25 separate committees, all NFA parents can find a volunteer role that matches their interests and availability.

The NFAPA is open to parents of NFA students.  Parents can be as involved as little or as much as they want.  There is no minimum or maximum volunteer contribution.  Each month, the Academy issues a monthly calendar via the VCF (Parent Portal) listing all Academy and NFAPA events and activities.  Every one of these is led by one or two parent co-chair(s).  Volunteers are needed on each committee and are encouraged to contact the committee co-chair to get involved.

On the first Tuesday of the month, the NFAPA Board (leadership and committee co-chairs) meets in the Big House Dining Room at 7:30pm.  Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings to hear about upcoming events, propose a new event, or volunteer. If you are an NFAPA parent, you are a member of the NFAPA.
